Reveal: identify the people visiting your website
Reveal identifies individual people who visit your website, whatever channel they came from. They don't need to be in one of your audiences, and you don't need a UTM parameter. Reveal covers US visitors only.
Before you start
You need a Reveal plan. Reveal is sold separately from Audiences, or together in the Suite bundle.
Reveal identifies US visitors only. It doesn't identify visitors from the EU or any other country outside the US.
Reveal returns person-level matches only. There are no company-only matches.
Set up Reveal
Go to Visits → Reveal Visits. Until visitors arrive, you see the setup screen "Reveal who visits your website".
Click Set up Reveal tracking. This opens the Tracking Pixel page.
Copy the pixel and add it to the
<head>of your website, either directly or with Google Tag Manager.Under Whitelisted domains, click Whitelist domain and add your website domain.
Reveal starts listing identified visitors as soon as the pixel fires on a whitelisted domain. They appear under Visits → Reveal Visits.
If you already installed the pixel for Audience Visits, you don't need a second one. The same pixel serves both.
Reveal credits
1 Reveal credit = 1 new person revealed.
There's no charge when the visitor is already a contact in one of your ContactLevel audiences.
Unused Reveal credits roll over.
Your Reveal balance shows in the credit pill in the top bar. For the full history, go to Settings → Credit Usage and choose Reveal credits.
Reveal or Audience Visits?
Audience Visits only identifies people already in your audiences who click an ad with the cl_audience parameter, but it works worldwide. Reveal covers everyone else, in the US. You can use both on the same pixel.
